Over time your M-Clip may begin to show scratches in the surface - this is normal and will not affect the function of your money clip. Using a soft cloth to wipe dust and dirt from the surface will help keep your M-Clip looking and working its best.
Try to keep the sliding mechanisms free of lint and other small debris as these things can cause the movement to become rough or difficult to operate. Sometimes a very small amount of oil can be applied to the runners on the sides and bottom of the slide bar to help make your M-Clip operate better. Make sure to wipe the surfaces clean after applying oil so that nothing gets on clothing.
For models with natural inlays (skins and woods) you may see a discoloration over time from being handled extensively, this is normal. We use only genuine American Alligator and stingray skins, these will sometimes experience shrinkage or wear due to oils in your hands and humidity in the climate.
